The Atlantic Ocean’s hurricane season officially begins on June 1st. This season is expected to have 12 to 17 named storms. Meteorologists predict 5 to 9 hurricanes in categories 1 and 2, and 1 to 4 hurricanes in categories 3, 4, and 5.
