June 1st is marked as the start day of the hurricane season in the Atlantic Ocean. 14 to 21 named storms are forecasted for this season. Meteorologists 6 to 10 hurricanes category 1 & 2, and 3 to 6 hurricanes categories 3, 4 & 5.
