Celestun: The prime season to watch flamingos in Celestun is from December to March, during the winter months. Visitors can witness a breathtaking display as the pink flamingos contrast against the lush vegetation, wildlife, and shimmering waters. Celestun is a peaceful fishing village northwest of Merida, perfect for a flamingo-watching experience.

Rio Lagartos: The optimal time to watch pink flamingos here is from March to September. During these months, flocks of flamingos engage in reproductive activities, offering an unforgettable natural spectacle. Rio Lagartos is located north of Tizimin in Yucatan, this town is a wildlife haven, home to crocodiles, deer, raccoons, jaguars, ocelots, and, of course, flamingos.

Isla Pajaros (Bird Island): Located in Holbox, Quintana Roo, this island hosts hundreds of flamingos between April to October each year for feeding and nesting.

Though these are the prime spots for flamingo viewing, you may also catch sight of smaller flocks along the coasts of Yucatan, Campeche, and northern Quintana Roo, including areas near Cancun.
