Cancun Travel Mart 2024: Quintana Roo Welcomes International Tourism Leaders
Oct/24/2024 – The governor of Quintana Roo officially inaugurated Cancun Travel Mart 2024, marking the 36th edition of this prestigious event. Each year, travel wholesalers and tour operators specializing in Cancun travel and the Mexican Caribbean eagerly anticipate this international convention. The event, hosted at the Iberostar Selection hotel’s convention center in Cancun’s hotel zone, will run for three days, concluding on October 26, 2024.

With 163 companies and participants from 23 countries, the event fosters business opportunities in Quintana Roo’s thriving tourism sector.
This year’s program features seminars, workshops, presentations, and sustainability efforts to promote 12 key destinations in Quintana Roo.
Prominent attendees, including state governor Mara Lezama and Mexican Tourism Secretary Josefina Rodriguez, as well as key investors and hotel representatives, therefore reaffirmed their confidence in Cancun travel by highlighting its potential as a prime investment opportunity.
Organized by the Hotel Association of Cancun and Isla Mujeres, the Cancun Travel Mart has consequently and consistently demonstrated its success in supporting the region’s tourism growth.
A Carbon-Neutral Event Supporting Reef Restoration
For the second consecutive year, this event demonstrates its commitment to sustainability as a carbon-neutral initiative. In alignment with the Sustainable Hotel Communication Plan of the Cancun, Puerto Morelos, and Isla Mujeres Hotel Association, organizers will offset nearly 100 tons of carbon emissions through a donation to Oceanus A.C., an organization dedicated to restoring the Mesoamerican reef.
The last Cancun Travel Mart cut carbon emissions by 84.4 tons, supporting coral transplantation and marine conservation.. This continued effort highlights the event’s dedication to promoting eco-friendly tourism and preserving the rich biodiversity of the Mexican Caribbean.
