ATMEX: Adventure Travel Network. Quintana Roo 2024.
Today, the governor of Quintana Roo launched the Adventure Travel Network Mexico 2024 event in Chetumal, Mexico which will focus on promoting and preserving Mayan culture. This event aims to boost adventure tourism in these towns, creating jobs and income through sustainable development programs that support local families.
Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism pledged to promote adventure tourism, highlighting its role in sustainable development and economic growth. They believed that this state, especially because it is part of the Mayan World, possessed enormous potential and offered wonderful development chances for multi-destination products related to Adventure Travel and Nature. Furthermore, this belief emphasized the region’s unique appeal and its ability to attract diverse travelers.
The event connects service providers from Quintana Roo with tour operators from Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala. As a result, it fosters regional collaboration and strengthens ties between these destinations. Running until October 29, the event highlights Mayan community travel products and adventure tourism experiences.
