ATMEX: Adventure Travel Network. Quintana Roo 2024.
Today, the governor of Quintana Roo launched the Adventure Travel Network Mexico 2024 event in Chetumal, Mexico which will focus on promoting and preserving Mayan culture. This event intends to encourage adventure tourism in these towns, bringing new jobs and income to the area through sustainable development programs that will help the families that live in these southern Mexican districts.
Representatives from Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism also attended the opening ceremony and stated their desire to promote the growth of adventure and environment tourism, acknowledging its importance to the local and national economies. They believed that this state, as part of the Mayan World, possessed enormous potential and wonderful development chances for multi-destination products related to Adventure Travel and Nature.
The event brings together service providers from across Quintana Roo, as well as tour operators from Belize, Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala. The event, which runs until October 29, provides a one-of-a-kind chance for adventure tourism service providers to promote the adventure travel products available in Mayan communities.
