Hurricane Beryl has entered the Caribbean Sea. The Mexican government maintains a blue alert, which indicates low threat; but, this could change within the next day or tomorrow. Beryl is a category 4 hurricane according to the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale.

The storm is 1,773.9 statute miles (2,854.8 kilometers | 1,541.5 nautical miles) to the ESE (103°) of Chetumal, Mexico.

Maximum sustained winds are near 150 mph (240 km/h) with higher gusts. Beryl is moving toward the WNW neat 20 mph (31 kph). No impact area has been determined yet.
