June 1st is marked as the start day of the hurricane season in the Atlantic Ocean. 15 to 20 cyclones are forecasted for this season. Meteorologists forecast 8 to 11 tropical storms, 4 to 5 hurricanes category 1 & 2, and 3 to 4 hurricanes categories 3, 4 & 5.
